     Dr. Groover is President and CEO of the Borland-Groover Clinic, Jacksonville
Center for Endoscopy, and Jax Anesthesia Providers. He
completed a fellowship in hepatology as well as one in gastroenterology at the University of Miami School
of Medicine and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a Fellow of the American
College of Physicians. Dr. Groover has been a leader in the Jacksonville medical community
since 1975 when he held the position of Chief of Gastroenterology for the Jacksonville Hospitals Education
Program. He founded the first GI Fellowship program in Jacksonville while serving as Chief of
Gastroenterology at University Hospital. Since that time Dr. Groover has been the Chief of
Gastroenterology and Director of the G.E. Lab for St. Luke's Hospital and was Chief,
Division of Gastroenterology and Director of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy Unit at Baptist
Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida from 1990 to 2004. Other positions have included Chairman of the Institutional
Review Committee, Baptist Health Systems, from 1982-1993, Chairman, Department of Medicine, Baptist
Medical Center, President, Medical staff at Baptist Hospital, and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of Florida Medical School. Currently, Dr. Groover
serves on numerous Boards of Directors including: Baptist Health System, Baptist Hospital Board of Directors, Baptist Primary Care Board of Directors,
BGC, Jax Anesthesia Board, and Chairman on the Clinical
Quality and Technology Committee of Baptist Health Systems. In addition, he serves on the United Healthcare
Physicians Advisory Board and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Physician Advisory Board. Dr. Groover
is a well-published author and frequent presenter at national meetings. He continues to participate in
the Institutional Review Committee as a committee member.
