The Duodenum

The Duodenum is the first part of the small intestine, where most of the food is broken down. Glands only found in the duodenum secrete mucus to help the food breakdown. The pancreatic duct secretes pancreatic juices to help the food digest, and the common bile duct secretes bile into the duodenum as well.
